About Me

My photo
Gruene Historic District
Once a thriving community of German immigrant cotton farmers, Gruene has been restored and updated to its current status and has been added to the National Register of Historic Places. From Gruene Hall, Texas' Oldest Dancehall, to the Gristmill, which was previously a cotton gin, to a number of eclectic Texan shops, Gruene Historic District offers a wide array of activities for everyone. Nestled on the banks of the Guadalupe river, Gruene is dedicated to preserving the authenticity of Texas culture and gently resisting the change that surrounds us.
