Christmas in July

As the summer showers pass and the Texas heat starts kickin’up again, let’s have a happy medium and celebrate Christmas in July! We all know here in the Lone Star state it might even stay July temperatures up until Christmas. So go ahead y’all, bust out in Jingle Bells, dance around the tree and engulf yourself with sweets, and all in a swim suit! Now to pull off a July Christmas in Texas…

First, shopping, shopping, shopping!  I can see all your eyes glisten with joy. Here in Gruene, we can satisfy the mid-way point of Christmas and what better way to celebrate than to shop for yourself! Or family of course ;) or just you…it is July! So, the shops of Gruene offer a wide range of gifts, accessories, furniture, antiques, and personal décor. Walk about and shop all day!

Second, food…and we have food just like your great, great, great grandma cooked!  Take it to go since its way too hot to slave over the stove all day! Burgers, sliders, chicken fried steak and even margaritas are our specialties here. Get ‘em while there hot. You wont want to miss the GO TEXAN restaurant round-up July 23rd-29th. Join our event!

Third, dancing! Oh do we have just the spot for you to boogie on down to your favorite tunes! With live music every day of the week all through the summer, you will sure find a song or two that get your boots moving at Gruene Hall.

Last, you can’t have Christmas without a tree…and trees we have! They might all be in the ground and nothing like the ones you would or could cut down at a tree farm, but hey its summer. Jump in a tube, float down the beautiful Guadalupe River and admire the trees. With too many stores, restaurants and events to list we extend a sizzling-July welcome to Gruene Historic District.

Heck, you might even find Santa dancing it up at the hall, eating, cuz we all know he’s gotta, or in a suit floating down  the river!  And hey we even put it all on one website to make one thing simple for your July Christmas!

YEEE-HAAWW!
